Indecent Exposure

As of 2000, public nudity itself is not considered a crime in California, even though arrests can occur based on that it has to be for sexual gratification or to purposefully sexually offend someone else. In California, a first offense is often charged as a misdemeanor and subsequent offenses are charged as felonies. Exposing the body and genitalia, or intimate parts, in public, and the obligation to register as a Sex Offender for at least ten years if there are multiple on record incidents. A Felony conviction for Indecent Exposure can occur when aggravating facts are present.
