202.1 WHY IT MATTERS
Good communication improves patient outcomes. It is also the difference between a scene that other people can join and one that shuts them out.
202.2 STANDARDS
Staff should:
- Introduce themselves to patients.
- Communicate treatment plans clearly.
- Provide concise patient handovers.
- Confirm understanding.
- Use respectful radio and department communications.
