305 - Emergency and Surgical Roleplay
305.1 EMERGENCY ROLEPLAY
Emergency scenes should remain organized. Senior staff should coordinate:
- Triage
- Airway management
- Trauma care
- Nursing assignments
- Documentation
Students should observe and assist when directed. Clear leadership creates realistic emergency roleplay.
305.2 SURGICAL ROLEPLAY
Surgery should be roleplayed realistically. Staff should:
- Confirm diagnosis.
- Obtain patient consent where appropriate.
- Prepare the operating theater.
- Maintain sterile technique.
- Monitor the patient's condition.
- Provide postoperative care.
Lengthy surgeries do not need to describe every medical step, but they should include enough detail to remain immersive.
